Guest guest
Hi guys, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I had a question for you all. I am trying to find previous posts and with the issues I am having it makes it veery difficult. Please bear with me My surgery (decompression) was on 09/07/07. 3 weeks post op my hubby and I were hit head on in a 5 car accident.I spent 5 days in the hospital. In December I had an MRI (finally) and it showed I had 3 herniated disks ( C-5 through C-7).I also have been told (because my symptoms are getting worse) that the decompression surgery was successful, however, because I had severe whiplash and hit my head several times that I have Tramatic Concussion Syndrome. I have been on pain medications since I found out I had Chiari (late August). I finally saw the pain management doctor on Thursday and they took and lowered my dose of Lyrica, put me on a fentanyl transdermal patch and I am scheduled for spinal mapping ( I think that is what its called) on Friday. I really like this doctor and feel confident he will be able to help me. He is thinking that there may be damage done in places where the MRI could not see. So this " mapping " will show him where the damage is and what we need to do to start the herniation healing process. I take: lyrica percocet ( when needed) fentanyl patch every 72 hours ambien xanax levothyroxine (thyroid) Calcium supplement for osteoporosis Question---Have any of you taken this patch and are there things that I need to know (besides the warm baths and showers) that I may have not been able to read? I really appreciate it and you can email me privately on this. My common sense has left the building for a little while and will be returning calls when it comes back ;0) Joleen-37-NM decompressed 09/07/
