Guest guest
I have just had an echo in November b/c I was experiencing palpitations with skipped beats....sometimes 6-8 per/min. The echo shows that I have a mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation. The cardiologist put me on beta blockers. Mitral valve prolapse isn't serious until you have regurgitation. ...and the regurgitation is measured on a scale. If the regurgitation is severe, they may need to correct it. So far mine isn't too severe but I will be checked yearly. Mitral valve prolapse is common with chiari1 and EDS. Darlene -- echo results and EDS I recently got my echo results and wanted to know if others of you have tricuspid regurgitation and/or aortic stenosis. I saw Francomano in Baltimore and she wanted an echo done. I am actually supposed to have them done every 6 months because my grandmother and father had aortic anerysms. My great grandfather they believe maybe had Marfans. I saw where one of these is connected to Marfans. My results just came in with the regurg and the stenosis. Thanks Kathy
