Guest guest
.. Would you tell me how you use the comfrey root poultices and the DMSO? I have used comfrey root, treating a double fracture in my foot, with excellent results. I also used a produce called Complete Tissue and Bone with it. Doctor was amazed when I went back to see how it healed. I grow comfrey and make it into poultices, and freeze them and keep on hand for an emergency. However, my comfrey sure did get beat up during the Florida winter..Thanks DM You will cut your time "down" in half with the use of comfrey root poultices (the bone knitter healing everything it touches) with DMSO! Guest guest
DM, What a great idea!! I would have never thought of freezing them. I dry it for tea and poultice. I feed it to my chickens and rabbits loved, loved, loved it. I wilted it first due to its bristles. If no land, it grows in pots. I try to give it to everyone and warn them it will take over. I made a simple cream also, and to it I added mullein root and leaf along with the comfrey root and leaf. After I infused the herbs, I added the DMSO. I can use it on my tooth, my face. It heals all types of things. My fractured back, and three time slipped disk healed right up. No sign of ever being injured. I just gave some to a client with what she called pleurisy and she gained relief immediately. Used on a gentleman who shattered his foot with a sledge hammer breaking up concrete. Healed so quickly, and no trouble after wards even. I use compresses also, inbetween the cream. The cream enables me to use it on animals, like baby rescued ducks, that I would ordinarily not be able to poultice. Healed her leg up over night. I use the leaves on my garden because it heals the dirt. My tennis elbow, gone, forever so far, wrist and shoulder too. Two years now, and I use them extensively. I also used healing clay poultices with DMSO inbetween. I use it for all types of pain. Awesome stuff those two, by far my favorite combo. I would consider adding a smidge of cayenne in one, (but not all) of the lotions next time. And I hear chick weed is almost as good at realigning the spine and slipped disks as mullein, so I WILL try that in my next back tincture and lotion with DMSO, and used in combo with arnica cream or homeopathic. > > .. > Would you tell me how you use the comfrey root poultices and the DMSO? Guest guest
I do not have a recipe, I am a dump cook. The simplest of all the creams is really just a hardened oil and not a " cream " at all. You can use any oils you like, I use coconut because it hardens without the use of wax. It melts at 74 degrees. It is also anti biotic, anti fungal and anti viral but so are others. You have to use what you like and can use because oils can give some people contact dermatitis. I use wild crafted black cohosh, mullein root and comfrey leaves and root and a few other things at will. I infuse them into melted coconut oil for 2 months in a warm, not hot, sunny window. 2 weeks is all that is called for. I use a centrifuge method (Acme juicer) to extract the oils from the roots when the oils are done infusing. You can hang wring them in cheese or better yet hemp cloth. The oils will stay better mixed if at this point you blend a little melted wax. Then you can add incense or any other healing E.O or DMSO. I then add it into small wide mouth glass jars for easy finger or popsicle stick access. Otherwise I add DMSO just before I apply it. You can hurry the process by heating on low temp, in a slow cooking crock pot. I have done that in a pinch, but do not like to. I'll find a site that tells how to infuse. You just add your favorite herbs instead. http://allnaturalbeauty.us/ani16.htm > > > > .. > > Would you tell me how you use the comfrey root poultices and the DMSO? Guest guest
I do poulticed teas (a rag soaked in the strong tea) made from the dried herbs and DMSO. Don't wring it out too much, but it does not need to drip all over either. When the rag gets cool redip it in the warm tea water. Or you can use fresh or dried herbs to a pountice tea bag. Whizz fresh herbs in blender with a little hot water and fold over at least twice to hold herbs in place. Dip that in more very warm water lightly squeeze and apply. CAreful not to burn yourself. Or use dried herbs, fold in the same manner and your giant tea bag in very warm water to steep for a few minutes, wringe slightly then apply careful not ti burn yourself. When the rags get cold, redip in very warm water. You can pin it in place, or use an ace bandage or even saran wrap to hold it on. I do not let DMSO come into contact with plastic wrap, so sometimes I need to use HUGE organic leaves such as rubbed mullein or comfrey leaves or chards to hold the poultice in place. I do this with healing clays as well. If I need to use the leaf right off the plant I first bruise it, and rub it in my hands to remove the bristles. I forgot, I do add plantain also. I wild craft it from the field. I use it fresh right on the spot and I infuse it with comfrey and ect. You can adjust amounts to what you actually need. http://www.greenwoodorganics.com/%20poulticescompressesfomentations.htm ointment: RECONSTITUTING OINTMENT To prepare this ointment, first macerate 3 oz (100 g) comfrey root, cut and dried, in 3 T (50 ml) good-quality olive oil for 2 weeks. * 1 cup (250 ml) castor oil * 20 drops lavender essential oil * 1 1/4 oz (40 g) beeswax Strain the olive oil and comfrey. Melt the wax in a saucepan. Stir in the 2 kinds of vegetable oils, then the drops of essential oil. Pour into small, dark green jars. Let cool. This is a multipurpose ointment: it is effective against cuts, wounds, contusions, tendonitis, fractures and even wrinkles! OR: POULTICE - Make a paste of powdered root with a little water and use on varicose ulcers and other stubborn wounds Hope that helps, > > > > > > .. > > > Would you tell me how you use the comfrey root poultices and the DMSO? Guest guest
I am still in  need of comfrey, roots, cuttings or seeds. The ones I found at mountain rose herbs seed wise arent the better variety for bone healing. I still have a broken leg, after 5 months. Quit goign tot he Dr as the diagnosis was the same, still broken, $75 please. Might go back in a month or so for another xray, but doing it once a month seemed too much.  Kathy Big savings on Dell XPS Laptops and Desktops! Guest guest
Kathy, They don't sell comfrey seeds, just the root, leaves or root stock. There is only one type. You can get it at horizonherbs.com for 2 dollars an organic plant which is not a plant but root stock to plant. You can pay companies on the west and east coasts to wild craft almost any herb for you. They will send it fresh, dried, or already tinctured. Whatever you want them to do with it. Mullein is hard to get into some states, it is considered a noxious weed, but it grows almost everywhere anyway. Especially where the land has been dug up, or turned and in ditches. Horizonherbs.com has blood root and so many, many wonderful plants at horizonherbs.com, live, rare and almost extinct organic herbs. I have even purchased Lady Slipper, and it is truly almost extinct. I do not use it medicinally (sedative) I just love the plant/flower and wanted to try to help restore it.
