Instability and fusion

Hello all, it is me again. I decided that I was sick and tired of sitting at

home so I enrolled in college again.... yeah, I think I am CRAZY!!! I think it

may be too soon for me, but then I hear of others going back to work just weeks

after PFD... in any case, if I am able to complete the semester, I will

graduate with my BS in Accounting in May 2008. 16 weeks and I will be degreed!!

That being said, I need to apologize for making this so quick, but I feel so

rushed these days and absolutely unable to stay and type very long, so I hope

you don't think that I am insensative. I went to the local NS and he gave me

another collar to add to my collection, a Miami J. He wants me to wear it all

the time except for when I am sleeping. That goes against everything that my CM

NS told me. However, I have to say that since Wednesday when I went to the

local NS until Monday I had cut my pain meds in half!!! It was so great!! I

went from overall about 16 pills a day to 9. I haven't done that in years.

Then I went to school Monday and... yeah.. not such a good idea. I am going to

try it for a couple times, and see, but it HURT!! even with the collar. I

didn't have my cane with me mostly because I had not needed it, but the long

walks on campus.. I fell today. I was so embarassed. Can will be comping with

me tomorrow.

My question is, did you have your fusion because of instability? Can you tell

me about what they did before they decided to operate? Did you wear a collar?

Did it help? Is there anything else I should be asking...???...

Thank you again all for everything!!! I appreciate you all.

Terri
