Guest guest
Hi all I just got an appt. with my doc tomorrow and I am on the road to trying to get my daignosis changed to ME and getting a refferal to a doc that specializes in our illnesses, and getting a lawyer for my disability claim I am going to file (lots going on here!!!) SO... for tomorrow I was hoping I could get some names of blood tests that my doc should order, or other tests that should be done. I also am not sure if regular docs like a primary care would have heard about what ME is, does anyone know if this is something he would even have heard about before?? Also, are there any meds I should write down on a list to bring with me that work really well that should be considered??? If I can get the tests done that are needed here, instead of waiting to go to a specialist, it would save me lots of $$$ since the kind of insurance i have is only a community-based program for low income people, and out of the " zone " I dont think I will have any benefits. So if there are things that can be done here, I want to do that and get the ball rolling, and also try some new meds that have worked well and are used for people like us. Short notice I know, but I really want to start getting things going, and meeting with my primary care doc who has overseen my case for years now to talk about what my goals are is at least a start! I am hoping I can find a doc that specializes in these diseases, has had great success, is in New England, and heres the big one - has some sort of plan or help for people who are have really no income and have no insurance - I dont want to not be able to get help becuase I have no money, becuase I cant work - which is becuase of this disease!!! Its a double edged sword! Also, if anyone knows a good lawyer of cases for diseases like ours that doesnt charge a huge fee, pass it on to me please!! I have talked to a few but the fee sounds sooo large (I know it comes from back disability). Thanks everyone!!!! I cant wait to hear back!!!
