Guest guest
Hi~ I have been in search for answers and have hit a wall!! The neuro I've seen, did an MRI of the brain and spine and I've had a lumbar puncture, all with no findings. MS was what he was looking for but since all my test were negative, he said we just have to sit back and wait, My quality of life has diminished so. I'm a mom of 3, I work full time, 7 days a week (not by choice) and I manage to get through my work day, only to come home and collapse. My time out of work, I use to recoup my energy so I can get through the next workday. I feel badly for my kids. They know I'm not the supermom they've always know. My Sx are extreme fatigue, numbness and tingling in my extremities, face and head, rapid heart beat(drs have run every test with no findings)just tachycardia and elevated blood pressure, weakness and muscle twitches in my extremities, headache which worsens from laughing, coufing, etc. 2 years ago, because of the fatigue, I had a sleep study done and was found to have sleep apnea. A few years have passed with no conclusive answers. My PCP does not want to use any medications to mask my problem. He said he wants to find answers. I decided I will not just sit and wait as the neuro wan't to do. I am going to be pro active and search for answers. When I had my LP done, I was told I has scoliosis. I was checked all through school and this was never detected. This got me curious and I fell upon someone that had thought to have MS and found they were dealing with Chiari. I got out my MRI's and see a definate downward displacement of the cerebellim. I see my neoro the end of January and am a bit uncertain of how to handle discussing this with him. I don't want him to think I'm overstepping his knowledge but I feel this should at least be looked at. Does this tend to be overlokked when they're reading an MRI looking for legions and such? Any advice or info you can share, I will be grateful. Knowledge is always our greatest tool!! Thanks so much
