Anyone's bowel problems better after surgery?

Hi,

Sorry if I have asked this before! My question is: Has anyone

experienced a resolution in their bowel problems after surgery?

Someone who had problems before surgery with bowel movements;

diarrhea and constipation, who had an improvement after

decompression, TC or CCI surgery?? I would love to hear from those

who have! Thanks!!

I am having, have had for years, problems with my bowel movements.

I would have constipation for days then diarrhea. Was diagnosed with

IBS, but it all started after my car accident, when my chiari

symptoms did.

Now, I have diarrhea almost constantly (seriously almost daily) and

also problems with a Fissure. Another medical condition, that is

embarrasing!! It causes some bleeding sometimes with my movements,

pain and nausea. But not major bleeding like clots.

I also have acute gastritis that can cause nausea and some stomach

pain. I do also have to take many different medications for my

headaches, and other pains that I know can work on the bowel too.

Wish I didn't have to take them!!

Any help with my question is greatly appreciated! I am not

contributing my stomach issues to Chiari or related conditions but

curious as to the relation if any and the answer to my question.
