Guest guest
I had a posterior fossa decompression on November 27th, 2007 and had almost 7 full weeks without any headache or headache related problems. I had no surgical complications aside from my body rejecting some of the sutures and spitting them out through the incision site (which was closed with staples). About a two weeks ago I started to lose grip strength in both hands, especially on my left, but I was still feeling fine. Then, last week I started getting headaches again, but completely different than my classic chiari headache. It's a little higher up the back of my head, it pulses, throbs, is shooting pain at times, I can see my heart beat in my eyes, I have incessant ringing and buzzing in my ears and it tends to get worse when lying down. Tylenol and narcotics aren't helping, but NSAIDs (Aleve in particular) are helping. What I'm wondering is if this could be inflammation from going back to work or if there's something else to blame. Has anyone had these kinds of headaches? Any ideas? I have a call into my ns, but with the 3 day weekend I'm not sure when I'll get a call back. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
