Hello everyone,

Just an update on my dd(8). She won't be trying transthermal meds. but

will be changing to armour(specially compounded)...hopefully we will

receive her meds. by Wednesday.. As her meds. are filled in a pharmacy

in Ohio where her doctor is from and are sent to Ontario,CAN

(compounding pharmacies in Ontario wont fill a script from an American

doctor.. as we have no canadain doc who will rewrite the script)

DD's doctor wanted me to make some kefier ..from a special coconut

to combat her acid reflex but my gut tells me it is med. intolerance

causing the problem(besides finding the right type of coconut might

take some time)...she has never had acid reflex this bad ever..and she

has never tolerated synthetic anything before... one bite of many

different types of veggies gave her acid reflex in the past..she used

to be intolerant to everything...but i never feed it to her for months

everyday..hence her acid reflex never got this bad..

So we are hoping armour will work well for her, that the transition

will go well.

IS there anyone who has changed to armour that can advise me as to if

they need less or more meds. compared to the synthetic thryoid drugs?

dd is currently taking l-thyroxine,liothyronine..

any temporary side affects as the body gets used to the change...?

anything i should watch for that is not good?

Maybe i worry too much ... but anything is possible especially with

a sensitive kid.

Thanks,
