Guest guest
Hello and everyone: First of all, you do need to take care of yourself! Take some of your father's selfishness and put it to good use. I am sure we have all been here in one form or another. For most of us, it is very hard to put ourselves first. Usually, we come last. None of us can afford to do that as our very health and well being depends on us putting ourselves first. It is not us being selfish, but a need to survive! I think you already know what you need to do. If I was in your shoes, I would contact the social workers and let them know. The quicker you get those men taken care of, the better. If your father wants to keep getting the nice checks, then he should hire someone. You did not know going in you would become so ill. If you had cancer, maybe he would sympathize, but I doubt it. I know, I for one am guilty on putting on the I'm fine face and getting on with it. Even now, it is still hard, but I am learning to put my health before the needs of others. If I am not here than where would my family turn? They need us and in turn we have to be willing to take care of ourselves. You take care of yourself!
