Need advice on how to live for today

As you guys know, I am new to this chiari diagnosis. In fact, I can't

even get drs to agree on the diagnosis. I have now seen 5 neurologists

and 2 neurosurgeons. With the exception of 1, they have pretty much

told me to live with it. They all agreed we should just continue to do

MRIs and watch. The 1 who didn't agree said he will do the surgery if

I want him to. However, what he is seeing on all the tests is neither

normal, nor abnormal. He says there is no guarantee my symptoms will

go. Anyway.......what I am getting to is. I can keep spending my days

searching for another dr and another dr and so on and so forth. Or, I

can figure out a way to live for today. Even when the today involves a

lot of neck pain, sometimes trouble swallowing, headaches and

dizzy/panic spells. So, I am looking to you guys for help.

What medications have helped your pain? Neurontin was mentioned to me.

What do you do about the neck pain?

How do you keep working, living, taking care of the kids?

In short, I just really need advice.
