spinal stenosis caused by fusion

Hey Everyone;

I hope we all have a happy healthy new year

I have a question for those of you that are also fused. I am fused from

skull to C6 back in 12/2006 and in May 07 my follow up MRI showed

spinal stenosis at C6/7 - the level just below the fusion.

This worries me - the TCI docs had me get a EMG which was normal, but I

wonder if I'm in for more damage in the future. I'm still experiencing

severe suboccipital pain and have been unable to start muscle

strengthening in my upper body in PT. My last operation was in May when

I was detethered.

Has anyone else developed stenosis below the level of fusion? If so,

were you still in pain? Did the stenosis progress to becoming

symptomatic?
