Guest guest
First of all, I do know that they are not one in the same, nor do you have to have one to have the other. However, for reasons I do not understand, a person that I know is trying to tell me differently.......even though they know better. I was showing them that on one of my recent Reports it says " Arnold Chiari Malformation Type II - no Shunt. I was explaining, or trying to, that this was wrong - that it should say Arnold Chiari Malformation Type II - no or not Decompression - No Hydrocephalus - not shunted. They were like well, that is what it really means - that most have both - the thing is that I don't have both, so it ends up to be misleading. I have ACM II, but no Hydrocephalus, albeit, rare. What I am needing is some information that explains these are 2 separate conditions, with 2 separate treatments, generally speaking. I do realize that sometimes treatment for one of the conditions can lead to relief of the other condition. If the information mentions ACM II, specifically, all the better, if it mentions ACM in general, great, and even if it mentions ACM I, specifically, that is fine, because there is so much similarity. Information that I can access on the Web is best. Thanks. Take Care, Brande mymocha@...
