Guest guest
My mother had a decompression surgery for 9mm Chiari in October. She has recovered very well and her pre-op symptoms of dizziness and headahces seemed to have gone away. On Thursday she had a follow up MRI and after the 45 minutes of her head and neck being positioned for the MRI, she felt extreme dizziness that took about 10 minutes to subside (the techs were about to send her to the ER). Since then she has been less dizzy but has had headaches and neck aches again as well as a " frog " in her throat (something she also had pre-op). Has this ever happened to anyone else? Should she be contacting her neurosurgeon? She's definitely of the wait and see mentality. . .she was diagnosed at the age of 65 even though she's really had symptoms all her life!
