Guest guest
This is the most frustrating thing I live with regarding my son. I practically have to threaten him to make him drink and wear warm clothes out in the sub-freezing RI January weather. He never feels cold, gets hot easily, has to be yelled at to get him to drink, and his language-the single most difficult aspect of his autism-is at about 6 yo. He's 13 and pubescent!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! He also can't sweat even when we do get him to drink-no matter how hot it is in July and August-and will turn red as a beet and nearly black out. This time of year, we're lucky to get to freezing, and he complains that he's hot even with a light jacket over his sweatshirt (with a T-shirt under it) and cotton pants. He will routinely get off his bus carrying his sweatshirt, even when it's snowing cats and dogs!! Is this all Chiari?? Is any of it?? He finally got glasses, though he sees 20/30, his balance and walk are both excellent (much better than his mother's! LOL!), and he never complains of pain-EVER. Is this making any sense??!! We have had 3 nsg opinions about his 13 mm ACM I, and all were against surgery, but I'm so afraid of what will happen to him if he doesn't have it.
