Guest guest
Hi , I don't use one but I know Aubrey has a good one. Let me know what you think. Enjoy the weather. But before it gets to be full-blown summer, I want to find a sunscreen that is both effective and won't clog up my pours or cause other damages to my health. I can't bring myself to use commercial sunscreens anymore, so I wanted to know if anybody knew of any natural sunscreen products available for purchase? Does " Whole Foods Market " sell any good ones? > > > > > --------------------------------- > New Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
there are some who say that it is not the sun's rays that are the problem but the imbalances in our bodies that cause abnormal cell changes and growths there is some evidence that the presence of trans fats as well imbalances between the omegas are partically to blame as well as nutrient deficiencies and toxicities. other evidence shows that sunblock intself is carcinogenic and potentiates the changes!!! I would never use commercial sunscreen and although i have bought some totally natural sunscreens with no petrochemicals or oxybenzoates or whatever that chemical is that is th active ingredient - these were all natural - I didnt use them but I don't like the feel of them on my skin. so my advice is to stay out of the direct sun so as not to burn and to cover up wit lightweight yet protective cotton or hemp (which provides a lot of protection) like my hemp sun hat. you can even buy t shirts etc that have a sun protection rating. it is not a good idea to burn though if you do - aloe vera provides some relief and some damage control. pure lavender oil too. but not enough to put yourself through it - I found myself onan island in queensland a few years ago where there was no cover and despite using some suncream at the time i was a lobster - and it hurt! Aloe helped a bit but I learnt my lesson on another note we need sun exposure without any protection several times a week for adequate vitamin D synthesis - this must be without protection. also sun glasses change how your body responds there are sensors in theye that when "tricked" by sun glasses don't signal to the melanin cells in the skin to be careful so to speak - so the skin cells think they are in the dark....
