so new to this and scared to absolute death kinda long but desp. for responses

hello everyone. i am writeing this through a severe migrain vertigo

nausea dizziness and back pain. my name is daphne i live in

coffeeville alabama. i have 3 boys rangeing in age from 4 to 12. one

of them being my nephew that i raise.(his dad is in the military) i

was in a mva on august 4th of 07. initially when i was hit (head on)

by the mail man (he was going about 55, his fault) i was at a

complete stop. i had my seat belt on. he hit so hard he ripped my

front end out and his rear end came out also. but haveing been in a

mva before i thought that i was just going to be sore the next day. I

WAS SO WRONG> i went to dr. and she gave me a cortisone shot for my

lower back. (slipped disk lower herniated middle,(8) broke vertibrea

lower. and sent me to pt. every time i went it got worse. i was going

to work tire blew out and had to change it. that sent me to emergency

room. which a wonderful dr. sent me to and mri. diagnosed with chiari

syndrom with syringomeleia 5mm. now bringing me up to date. sorry

so ,long. as an additional note i went to school to be a nurse,so i

am fam. with med.stuff. my mom died from a procedure that went wrong

in 2000. and even though i know percentages and all that i am

absolutely terrified to continue treatment for fear of something

going wrong. i have to raise 3 children by my self( father gave up

parental rights to keep from paying child supp.) i was fired from my

job because of missed work and have applied and denied social

security. appealed it. i have more symptoms everyday it is getting

worse. i am also allergic to opium based drugs I.e. no heavy pain

meds. i have been independant, strong, and the one everyone depended

on all my life i am 32yrs old. if a dr reads this please respond

also. my question(s) is what next. i know it is inevitable that i

have surjery. my dr. isnt ansering the questions i have i really dont

think he is familiar enough with the problem. i also have numbess and

things going to " sleep " . i am going nuts and dont know what to do. i

need a dr. experianced enough to deal with this surjery that accepts

medicaid. that will tell me whats going on. and will talk to me like

i am a person and take the time to be blunt to me and tell me the

risks of everything. i need someone to tell me the bad things that

could happen. not to candy coat any thing and scare me enough to let

me know what 'could; happen so i am forced to have this surjery.

sounds stupid doesnt it. i have had several other med. problems and

have been able to suck it up and work through it. this one is kicking

my but and getting stronger. i call it the big engine that

thought about starting a chiari site on myspace also. dont know if i

can keep up with it right now though. please respond to me and give
