Guest guest
Hello all. My grandson had his cervical MRI done yesterday and we are scheduled to see the neurologist next Wednesday and the neurosurgeon on Thursday. I thought this might be a good time to get suggestions about what to ask each of them or what to listen for in what they tell us. One thing that my daughter mentioned was that the radiologist who performed the MRI said that it was possible that the syringomylia was actually " debris " left over from when he was forming rather than a syrinx. I hadn't read about that anywhere, so I am not sure what to make of it. I am going to try to take some legitimate research documentation that the size is not necessarily an accurate predictor of symptoms in case they say it is too small to be causing problems. I also plan to ask how the CM can be termed " asymptomatic " when there is already a syringomylia, because if I am understanding what I have read correctly the syringomylia forms due to obstructed flow which indicates there is already a problem. Anyway, any suggestions to help us prepare for the visits would be appreciated. Thanks all.
