Guest guest
Hi! After many years of complaining about fatigue I was finally diagnosed with Fibro earlier this year. The faituge is often overwhelming. I just got a new doc and he seems great. He said he would try his hardest to help with the faitigue. I was just wondering what do you all do or take for your fatigue? I was on Gabapentin but it doesn't seem to be doing much so the doc told me to stop taking it. He is going to try and get Cymbalta (Lyrica too) approved for me, but I'm nor going to hold my breath.

Guest guest
Hi Daneene, well, if your fatigue is of the type that prevents you from working or walking or completing the daily tasks of living, more than the Fibro pain, then it is quite possible that you have been “underdiagnosed” and possibly have CFS or ME. If it is dragging your butt around work then perhaps not so much chance of it and the fibro really is the thing. Unfortunately this is very common. And the best thing you can do for it is REST. In fact, if you have been misdiagnosed then it could save your life, or at least a hope of recovery. I haven’t been hearing great reports about Lyrica & Cymbalta for the most part, but some say it really does help them overall.
