We've had our coldest start to winter since about the 1970s I think (so the coldest one I've ever known), which is set to continue into January after a mild week this week (so no white Christmas for us.... AGAIN...), and there's been a big rise in hospital admissions with respiratory problems. There's been a virus going round that has been causing chest tightness and breathlessness in non-asthmatics too (the nurse reckons I've got this and that's why I went from hvaing no probs with my asthma to struggling very quickly), and the flu season has hit early.
