hemorrhoids - experience needed

Today I was visiting with a friend whose 96 year old grandmother has

hemorrhoids that bleed quite badly. He was so concerned about her

loosing her zest for life. I asked if she did anything beyond what the

doctors recommended. He said if he knew something he'd try to get her

to.........

The only thing I could come up with on the spot was Diatomaceous Earth

(DE) and Cayenne. I know the cayenne will stop bleeding by not sure it

will if it has to pass alllllllll the way through the digestive tract.

And it sounds quite scary even tho' we all know it doesn't hurt. She

probably can't sit in c.silver and iodine might hurt but I'm sure it'd

start the healing. Aloe is always good for everything but s it enough?

For all I know the DE will make them more painful. Don't know how long

it'd take for Butcher's Broom to do anything. I wonder if cod liver oil

would help. DMSO topically would help dry but would be irritating--I

might try it for making something else work better...I guess I'm very

leery of her age.

I did a search online and came up with lots of alternative sites, all

of which require a diet change or cleanse--none of which I'd even think

about suggesting to a 96-year old. Unless, of course, you know

something that will do the job for this poor woman.

He's going back to Dallas Wednesday and it would be lovely to have

something, even affirmation of DE and Cayenne, to tell him.
