Guest guest
Hi, Those of you that had to get urodynamic testing; did you have to see a urologist? I was wondering if a regular Dr. could do it. I know my neurologist doesn't, which I figured. but I also figured a urologist is who I would have to see? Does anyone know about how much the testing runs? I am trying to get a procedure code to check price of it and insurance payments etc. Hope you are able to feel some better!
Guest guest
I'm not sure what the procedure code for the Urodynamics Study is but, I did have to go to a Urologist to have it done. Looking at our insurance claim (cigna ppo), the urologist (actually, a tech did the test), submitted a cost of $3,428.00 The Usual and Customary fee (he was on our plan) that the insurance paid was $920.47 PLUS my copay of $30.00 Try to find a Urologist who understands Neurogenic bladder. Otherwise, they might talk you into a cystoscopy, meds and procedures that could really help with that ‘incontinence issue’. I ended up finally just telling him – look, I came in for a Urodynamics Study. That’s all. IF, down the road (after my upcoming 2nd decompression), I still have problems, I *might* consider other treatment options but right now, I just need the Urodyn. Study and the results sent to my neurosurgeon (thank you very much-lol) (and yes, I have neurogenic bladder) Urodynamic Testing Hi, Those of you that had to get urodynamic testing; did you have to see a urologist?
