Hi all

My appointment was a HUGE success thanks to my hours and hours of ME

research and help from support groups like this one!! Thanks

everyone! We made the diagnosis of ME, even though my primary care

said that until I see a specialist and the specialist makes

it " official " I cant claim it yet for my disability case. But now we

know at least! And I did tons of research on all the blood tests that

specialists order, and to save time and money, we ordered them all to

be done here so when I do go to a specialist, I have all the testing

done that he would have ordered anyway. I also will be going to an

Endocrinologist to get more testing done as well (like an adrenal

stress test and cortisol and adrenal tests that I highly recommend

you to get done! Also hormone testing is done at the same time too).

That will further save time. I also did lots of research on ME

treatment and we discussed what could be done here now before even

seeing the specialist. So we changed my meds around and now I am on

Provigil and Cymbalta, both of which are used in ME with great

results. Is anyone here on these or tried these? I am curious if

anyone is on these for ME treatment in this group. Alot can be done

if you have a really good primary care doc before you ever even see a

specialist, which is great news when you are suffering NOW and need

help NOW...you just have to be your own best advocate and learn,

learn, learn!!!

Blessings

Dr.
