Hi Everyone,

I am fairly new to this list and since I've only recently wiped the dust off

of my Jung collective and renewed my interest in his work and in depth

psychology (I am a psychotherapist) I tend to lurk more often than I

participate. I find the list fascinating and really appreciate the open,

honest, often very creative and passionate, from the heart, sharing that

happens here. I belong to another list, the ONN (On-line Noetics Network)

supported by the Institute For Noetic Sciences, that is also a very special

on-line spiritual community. We seem to have an unspoken commitment there to

not let anyone leave the list as the result of an argument or heated

discussion without some sort of resolution. So, Although I didn't agree with

much of anything that was expressed by Dan I was somewhat disappointed, not

only because he left the list but because so many people seemed really glad

that he did so. I think there was an opportunity lost that could have led to

greater understanding of both positions.

Metta,

Suzanne

Greg, fa,

I get my pleasure - my 'pay' - from seeing things work well, from seeing

people blending and harmonising their knowledge, enjoying themselves and

sharing to such a point that they can forget their 'selves' in a dedication

toward a great whole... It is to this end that my entire life tends.

Today is the start of the runic half moth Elhaz, symbol of internal power

and of sanctury.

Would that we had a Mr. Midshipman Wilde! Ah well!...

Thanks so much for your comments here Annette!!!

I want to publically apologize to Mike. It was not at all my intent to imply

that Mike step down from the position of moderator of this list. I certainly

appreciate all your efforts to keep this list going. I have learned so much

here.

Thanks

Oh gee, Merry. I don't think anyone thought that. Nobody sent you to the

woodshed, that's MY place, anyway, she says smiling. And hey, if we're at

sea, there ain't no mo' woodshed... where do I go?

Suzanne -- I didn't hear any loud applause when Dan said he was jumping ship.

I've often crossed swords with him on this list. I think we all appreciate

that he likes to fight. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. I like

to fight sometimes, too. There is a place for a provacateur/euse... but one

has to chose the places carefully. Your comments are good ones, though. I

don't think any of us here want to run away from things just because they are

uncomfortable. Goodness -- we all appreciate Jung. Is there anyone more

uncomfortable?

smiling on this cold cold night. Stars are blazing!

precisely! ---having a cool, moderate breeze blowing towards me, especially during an asthma episode does make breathing easier. it also helps calm me since my body is working overtime to draw in much-needed air.i remember that, aside from the traditional cures that i mentioned in my sharing as an asthmatic child, friends and relatives would always recommend that we take a trip to manila bay on weekends so that i could take in fresh air coming from the sea --- same principle!breathe easy everyone and do enjoy the rest of your weekend.peace.-mike i.> > >> > > hello all!> > > > > > typhoon season here in the philippines. it was really sunny earlier> > > today, but now the skies warn of rain - maybe later tonight. i don't> > > sense any impending asthma episodes yet although i always have my> > > ventolin (salbutamol) inhaler handy.> > > > > > i'd like to share some recent writings about my experiences growing up> > > with "the disease" just so you'd know how it was like for me back then> > > on the other side of the world. you guys can read it here:> > > > > > http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/> > > <http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/>> > > > > > i wrote something about traditional cures which my wife, kathy, found> > > quite amusing.> > > > > > to see what made her laugh, go ahead and read "growing up with asthma"> > > at:> > > > > > http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/> > > <http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/>> > > > > > breathe easy everyone!> > > > > > peace.> > > mike i.> > >> >> > > ________________________________> No viruses found in this outgoing message> Scanned by iolo AntiVirus 1.5.4.5> http://www.iolo. com> ________________________________> No viruses found in this incoming message> Scanned by iolo AntiVirus 1.5.4.5> http://www.iolo. com>

hello & thanks tom.having to deal with asthma all my life, i do appreciate my folks and other relatives for their advise regarding my disease. things like this tend to make you more thankful. i guess it all depends on how we see things. as a child, i truly believed that everytime we would see the doctor, he would make it all better. when the symptoms subsided, i would forget about how really bad i felt when i was having the episode and just get on with "my life".later on, i did develop ways to cope with asthma.in 2004, i went to LA during the winter and stayed with my mother's aunt. unfortunately, i forgot my sprayer. so when it got really chilly the first night, i woke up with that all-too-familiar, dreadful feeling of having a heavy weight on my chest. i got up, sat on the edge of my bed and looked out the window to calm myself. the night sky was all lit up with stars so that helped me relax. after about an hour, i felt better and soon went back to sleep.on that same trip, i had the chance to visit new york and utah, which were a lot colder. thankfully, i didn't have any asthma episodes during the rest of my stay in the states.so i would say that, eventually, we learn to cope with stuff that life throws at us.enough said. breathe easy everyone...peace.-mike i.> > > >> > > > hello all!> > > >> > > > typhoon season here in the philippines. it was really sunny> earlier> > > > today, but now the skies warn of rain - maybe later tonight. i> don't> > > > sense any impending asthma episodes yet although i always have my> > > > ventolin (salbutamol) inhaler handy.> > > >> > > > i'd like to share some recent writings about my experiences> growing up> > > > with "the disease" just so you'd know how it was like for me back> then> > > > on the other side of the world. you guys can read it here:> > > >> > > > http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/> > > > <http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/>> > > >> > > > i wrote something about traditional cures which my wife, kathy,> found> > > > quite amusing.> > > >> > > > to see what made her laugh, go ahead and read "growing up with> asthma"> > > > at:> > > >> > > > http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/> > > > <http://asthmatic- child.blogspot. com/>> > > >> > > > breathe easy everyone!> > > >> > > > peace.> > > > mike i.> > > >> > >> >> >> > ________________________________> > No viruses found in this outgoing message> > Scanned by iolo AntiVirus 1.5.4.5> > http://www.iolo. com> > ________________________________> > No viruses found in this incoming message> > Scanned by iolo AntiVirus 1.5.4.5> > http://www.iolo. com> >>
