Guest guest
When I started my Chiari journey I had awful dark blobs in my vision and was seeing pinspots. The eye doctor I was sent to told me these were nothing more than vitreous floaters and argued that point with me until I bit my tongue and walked out. (Needless to say, once the compression was alleviated, the spots went away. No, they were not floaters.) I do know what floaters look like. More recently I've developed another " blob " in my left eye. At first it was intermittent, now it's there almost all the time. It appears mostly when I move my head or just my eye. At the end of my regular eye appointment, after hearing happily that my vision has not changed in two or three years, I asked the doctor about it. He looked for a very long time and finally said I had age-related vitreous condensation. It's been in the back of my mind that he didn't seem very confident in his answer, but since the problem doesn't really effect my daily life, I've not pursued it. In the past day or so I've noticed that th blob is there even when my eyes are closed. Should I be able to see vitreous condensation with my eyes closed, or should I be questioning this a little further? Ingrid
