Between the floaters and the on again off again blurred vision. I can see as clear as can be one minute, and then can't read a road sign the next. I used to sew reproductions of antique samplers as a business. I can't meet deadlines any longer. I can't ever count on my vision being good enough to see the linen. As a child I had to change my glasses at least 2x a year. At 51 it is still yearly. The current script never seems to work. Check you vision out at various times during the day. I would suggest seeing a neuro ophthalmologist for a field study and complete exam. You aren't alone, this is one symptom that I have seen come across the board often. Guest guest
Wow. This has certainly been a problem for me. When my symptoms got so bad this winter that I could not lie down, I started sleeping upright. After a few weeks I noticed that my vision was remarkably better. In fact, my visual acuity had gone from 20/400 to 20/30 !!! Now I don't even bother wearing my glasses. If I accidently grab an old pair, I have vertical diplopia because of all the prisms the lens had in them. My poor opthalmologist is dumb-founded. He doesn't even charge me to come in for refractions anymore. Interestingly, my symptoms (headache, nausea, vomiting, numbness, vertical diplopia, etc) return if I try to recline at all, so for now I am staying upright. I had TCS on May 5 and will return to TCI on July 8 for ICT and CCF. I wonder how this will affect my vision? lol Debbie EDS cranial settling TCS May 5 at TCI scheduled for ICT and CCF July 8 syringomyelia ************** Vote for your city's best dining and nightlife. Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I too found within 5 months of my fall that my symptoms weren't as bad during my afternoon sleep (which I had to have as I wasn't sleeping well at night, waking every 2-3 hours and needed to catch up). The only thing different with the sleep I took on an aftrenoon was that I was sleeping sitting up on the sofa, so from that point on I have been sleeping almost sitting up at nights too and I'm sure it's delayed the onset rate of some of the symptoms. The only problem was that invariably my head would fall over and wake me in neck pain, so eventually I used a horseshoe shaped cushion (to which my friend sewed some velcro at the front to fasten it and complete the circle) - night-times became a little more comfortable - JUST!
