Guest guest
Since Kathy mentioned TMJ, I thought I'd mention that my tethered cord surgery completely cured my TMJ! I never expected that it would have anything to do with it! I couldn't open my mouth wide enough to bite into a large sandwich...and without a huge clunking noise. Now, those problems are gone. I am always pleasantly surprised now when I bite into a thick sandwich, as I'm expecting my jaw to lock up and not allow my mouth to open that wide...but it does! I've not heard any other reports of expecting this result from detethering...but it sure did happen for me. Virginia 4 plc fracture of the C1, Tethered Cord, " acquired chiari (not acm), 5.7 mm " and atlanto occipital dislocation due to equestrian accident, 2004 TC surgery, Nov. 2007 at TCI.
