Guest guest
Is there any information out there from reputable sources that would advocate specifically for TCI IF a patient has already had unsuccessful results with one Chiari expert? Okay, as it turns out, we are going to have to advocate for our state's Medicaid to assist us with the traveling expenses to TCI because TCI is a non-covered provider and will not accept out-of-state Medicaid. Tasha's PCP has written us a letter in support of the trip being covered and I have clinic notes from one of the neurologists that clearly recommends us going to TCI, but I would like to provide as much information as possible so they will likely approve the request. As Tasha has already been seen and had surgery with a Chiari expert, I do not need information that would advocate for going to a Chiari expert since her surgeon was already a nationally recognized Chiari expert. [need info specific to going to TCI only]. If need be, I know I can contact one of the travel assistance organizations to get there, but since Tasha is covered and travel is usually a covered expense, I want to get them to cover it all possible and save the funds/tickets from the assistance organizations for those who have no coverage and really need the assistance. Thanks so much in advance for any insight or advice you might have.
Guest guest
Try patienttravel.org and call their number. The person on the phone will ask you some questions and see what you might qualify for.
