Guest guest
Hello I haven't posted in ages but lurk in the background from time to time. Once again I am experiencing escerbated (sp) problems. It is extremely difficult to walk. My legs and feet are in such pain. At times I must walk tip toed or on the outsides of my feet or simply shuffle. My cane seems to be of little assistance. The feeling is more than pins and needles, it is terrible pain. While this goes on my thinking is worse than usual unable to correctly get out what I want to say or type or write correctly. Does anyone else experience this? I am sure it is due to Chiari. Guest guest
Nona, you should call 911 now. Why wait? it will take them 6 hours before anyone really takes a look at him any way. It is worth it. If it was Sharon, I would gather my things, and I would call. I went through this with Ardis, and every time they came, she was admitted, and they said she was bleeding, and it was good that we called them. She was always better after they brought her hematicrit back up. He may be stubborn, but if there is a fire man in your living room, he might get the picture of how much he means to you. I'm only giving this advise based on my personal experience. Ardis didn't want me to call the 911, I had promised her that I would just let her die. I could never go through with it. I am glad I did, because she got to die in peace, with CNN on the TV and the Moodyblues on the CD player, veins full of soothing morphine, beer on her lips, Mister frog (Jaques Peppin) in her arms, me holding her hand, in a warm beautiful hospice, not a noisy ER room, or the ICU, or her apartment alone. We were able to plan her death, and it went off without a hitch, not many people get that opportunity. Good luck, God bless you Nona. Hope everything turns out OK. Ill say an extra prayer for stubborn hubby, Love, Bobby aka RWE. Re: Question No problem-sometimes hard to convey our actual meaning in an email. My husband is the most stubborn person I have ever met! I have planted the seeds for him to think about this evening-that usually helps. I will certainly keep an eye on him tonight. His sleeping patterns are not the greatest so I'm not sure he will sleep alot tonight. Thanks for listening and for your advice. Nona Hi, I usually post once every 6 months it seems! I read all the posts and have learned so much from all. My husband is in stage 4 cirrhosis. I so understand all that the caregivers go through. It's not an easy responsibility for us but one we do because we love our spouse. My husband has seemed to be declining over the last few weeks. He told me tonight that his throat(for about the last week) feels like it is closing at times. He looks horrible tonight-at least to me. Is this something that might be related to the cirrhosis-something related to his esophagus. Just worried about him more than usual tonight.
