Dear All

Just to remind you all that this list is intended for PRACTISING herbalists,

ie. for herbalists who make their living (or as much of it as they can) from

treating patients; others with special inputs are also welcome (ie. Marco,

whichever category he is in!) . It is NOT a list purely for NIMH members -

there are several non-NIMH members on this list and hopefully in time there

will be more (although as someone said 'it is NIMH friendly'). This is

because I set it up unofficially as an experiment without waiting for

'official' approval and, like Topsy, it growed and growed. This also means

that I have supreme power and can do what I like :-)

To be serious I am pleased that virtually all the comments so far have been

positive and all of you who have benefited from the list are more than

welcome to buy me a drink at conference. Keep sending your

suggestions/comments as to how this list should develop. I would like

someone to volunteer as a fellow list owner to cover things when I am

unavailable - the job is not onerous but needs 10 - 20 minutes online every

3 -4 days.

To get back to the original point, there are good arguments on both sides,

but the main one for me is that the message traffic is already approaching

the maximum that most people are willing to accept, and I am not prepared to

start creating sub-lists (I get enough of this in the Green Party).

Unfortunately the eGroups system doesn't allow digests, so things will

remain as they are for the time being.
