Guest guest
I was diagnosed 5 years before I truely became symptomatic. One day out of the blue I decided I wanted to start doing some stomach crunches in hopes of losing the stretched skin from 3 pregnancies. Later that day I just felt off, like I was coming down with something. The next day I woke up with a stiff neck that never went away and the symptoms all just started coming on over a month span. Within a few weeks, I had 30 symptoms and they all seemed to get worse with each passing week. Believe it or not, it took about 2 weeks for me to realize it was the chiari because I was told by numerous neurologists after my diagnosis that I was misdiagnosed and that I never did have it. Once I got those skull crushing pressure headaches, I realized what was going on. I was very surprised how quickly a new symptom would come on and how much worse it got over time as well. I also didn't expect to have the kind of pain I was in either, but it seemed I was in pain throughout my body on a daily basis. I was fortunate enough to have a diagnosis before things caught up with me, so I knew what to do when things got that bad and who to see. in PA Decompressed 1/7/08 Progression of symptoms Can anyone tell me how your symptoms started and how they progressed?
