Guest guest
Hi, I recently got diagnosed with Hashimotos, due to a high antibody count (peridase?), I don't have my blood test in front of me, but my T3, T4 were in the range of normal, and not higher than 2.5. But I had a goiter, and other hypo symptoms. I am for 3 weeks on Synthroid, 50mcg. I am due for a blood test in a week to check my levels. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for things to test for. Would checking cortisol levels be helpful? I do still have fatigue. I'm also trying to conceive my second child, and it has been four years of trying. I'm hoping the Synthroid will be of help, given the Hashimoto's info. I will be 40 in 2 weeks, so will attempt an IUI in a couple months if things don't happen. Besides testing for cortisol and all the usual T3, T4, anything else that should be tested? I was already tested for anti-ovarian antibodies, which I do not have, and tested for Celiac disease which I don't have. Can one test blood for heavy metals or candida? What is the Ferritan test? Thanks, J
