You ask for solstice suggestion so here's what comes spontaneously:

I wld light a large dark colored candle n have it burn on the 21st n then on

the 22nd take a taper/match/take the flame from the dark candle n light the

new white candle n as u do this say each a prayer/wish for the earth/for the

all the animals n creatures/ for mankind/for peace..et al . Then each could

light his/her own candle from the new one.and then in silenct meditation ask

for theSpirit to blow softly on yr own inner light that yr Divine Guest may

shine ever more clearly n lovingly thru u so that u may serve n love n be

part of this new eon opening ahead. There is nothing against sharing bread n

glog n having a Yum yum.

A yum-yum [old custom!] is a circle of people 2 or more. u put arms over

shoulders and lean back exclaiming YAAAAAHM N then all bend inward going

rapidly YUMYUMYUMYUM. repeat 2 x more for three. Then say HUGS TO THE LEFT N

HUGS TO THE RIGHT! hugging as u do.

Walter n i did the biggest yum-yum w/over 100 Tibetan orphans in Dharamsala,

N India. it was entirely GRAND! n so the custom is spreading at gatherings,

workshops etc. a yum-yum is very appr to Aquar because it is both collective

n honors yr immediate neighbor.

i pers love the words in the Gospel of St. - " I am the Light that cometh

to light every man..... " [remember man, coming from German Mensch means human

not male only!] what is special is that symbolically speaking the image of

the Christchild almost always depicted w/candle or lantern n =same w/in all

of us regardless of relig labels! it is the div spark. Light is light n a

Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, pagan, or flame on any candle or leaping in any

fireplace is always the SAME Flame! One of these days, hopefully, we will get

the obvious! n " see the Light " !

the watchwords i get for this coming 2000 are CARE ENOUGH! with the emphasis

on Enough. all care in principle but to care ENOUGH means to carry thru, to

manifest, to really look n SEE the people u meet. To smile, to thank, to act

in little ways that honor even a stranger's Div Guest. To give of YOUR SELF

[div guest] bec the more u give, the more there is - just like the candle

flame! this is why fire/light/love burns on altars everywhere.
