Guest guest
Could someone point me to a reference on how soon after delivery a mother with diagnosed and treated hypothyroidism should be tested? It's sooner than 6 weeks isn't it? Thank you in advance. Barbara Latterner
Guest guest
Hi, Barbara. I heard West at a conference say that if a mother has been getting thyroid during the pregnancy and does not get her dose reduced as soon as baby is born, she can become hyperthyroid in just a few days. But I don't know if there is anything written to support that or if it's just what she has seen with her clients.
