Guest guest
In Ayurvedic medicine, Withania/ashwagandha is considered ushna or hot in potency ( energy/virya) and pittakara ( pitta increasing). It is usually used in traditional formulas which balance its heating effects, for example with Shatavari or being given with milk, both cooling substances. When it has been used singly on a long term basis it has been found to produce bleeding and heat, which are pitta excess disorders. The palpitations could come under this increased pitta category, though I 'm not sure about the dizziness. Vicki Pitman
