Dear Schia,

the bioforce product is now called Petaforce,

Helen.

butterbur in tincture form

> Does anyone know where I can get butterbur tincture? Apparently bioforce

used to do a petasan' tincture which was butterbur with viscum but have now

discontinued it. A patient of mine has had great success with that mix for

her fibroids and would like some more!

You're right, butterbur does contain pyrrolizidines and bioforce (or

someone similar) has patented the extraction process so no-one else can

do it I understand!

Re: butterbur in tincture form

Hi Schia,

Is it not high in pyrrolizidines? My impression was that the Bioforce

tinctures had been through some weird procedure to remove the alkaloids,

so a normal tincture would not do. I'm quite prepared to stand corrected

if others know more though.

love Robyn

Thanks, that's really useful! I will call bioforce to see if they still

sell it - perhaps as petaforce as suggested by Helen.

Will keep you posted!
