Guest guest
I hadn't thought about heat, but it certainly don't feel right. In fact going for a pee is a constant reminder of the damage done to me as it just feels like a load of nothing and I don't seem to feel much. All vitality has gone. My mate say's how nice it feels to go for a piddle but I can hardly feel a thing. Guest guest
, Urinary retention is listed in the PDR as a side effect of Haldol, the neuroleptic I was given years ago. Also, acording to Wikipedia, it is a side effect of antidepressants: " Urinary retention is characterised by poor urinary stream with intermittent flow, straining, a sense of incomplete voiding and hesitancy (a delay between trying to urinate and the flow actually beginning). As the bladder remains full, it may lead to incontinence, nocturia (need to urinate at night) and high frequency. Acute retention causing complete anuria is a medical emergency, as the bladder may distend (stretch) to enormous sizes and possibly tear if not dealt with quickly. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urinary_retention Although I have never experienced complete anuria, I often DO have a sense of incomplete voiding, and a build up of pressure again soon after I urinate. (I cannot feel when I am done.) It is also often quite uncomfortable, leaving an aching feeling toward my left side. I have lived this way for over 28 yrs, even though I have been free from Haldol, or anything like it, for that long. At times I thought it might affect my kidneys, and that I might die young. Well, now I'm 63. In my case, I believe I have permanent nerve damage. However, the first time I was given Haldol (back in 1975) I experienced the same kind of thing. THAT time my feelings came back about 2 yrs after being off it, and I began to have the normal feelings associated with needing to urinate. So I guess it depends on the ammount of damage done as to whether or not one will recover. I hope you do. Sincerely, Kay > > I have very little feeling when I urinate now and it comes out with weak force. I used to urinate and have lots of force, now it barely comes out. I also don't get erections when I have to urinate anymore. Instead, I just feel pressure if my bladder/abdomen. > > >
Guest guest
Somebody in this forum wrote in last year describing his urination as feeling like peeing "grains of sand".. That stuck with me for some reason. I agree about releaving oneself. At times it used to feel wonderful. (not like orgasm, but really great). Now it's just a bodily function. Guest guest
You know how you hold those polystyrene cups with hot coffee inside and you don't feel anything much, well it's a bit like that. Guest guest
Same with me the sensation from urinating doesn't come from are genitals anymore, we only feel it elsewhere. Guest guest
I DO feel emotions; love, happiness, sorrow, etc., but I have had absolutely NO LIBIDO and have been numb in my saddle area for over 28 years now. I have not been able to get sexually aroused, nor have I been able to feel when I need to urinate until I get pressure in my abdomen for that long.
