Krystina, Several chemo agents cause constipation, magnesium is useful and in severe cases coffee enemas or anthraquinones are necessary. Re the liver herbs you do not give details so its hard to say much but sometimes primary hepatomas are excised successfully - and " regenerative " liver herbs work well in such cases....especially milk thistle. i had one patient who " regrew " a huge mass of liver tissue that was cut out - he was amazingly fit- cycled around 50 miles a day in the mountains and used buckets of milk thistle. the main question is whether the liver malignancy is primary or secondary. many of the liver herbs are good in either case tho, eg turmeric, milk thistle, chelidonium and licorice in particular. jonathan
Guest guest
Dear Krystina, I find that the Manna Fig Syrup supplied by Phyto Products is marvellous for long-term constipation problems, and often mix it with appropriate herbal medicines. Artichoke juice can also help. Linseeds (Linusit) or psyllium seeds are good bulk laxatives, especially when the patient can't eat much. Guest guest
1. You can get rid of much of the alcohol by putting the tincture dose in hot water and letting it stand until tepid. Was there not some e-mailing about this sometime ago ? 2.How toxic to the liver is alcohol in these tiny 25 - 45% doseages of 5ml tid anyway? Certainly the liver metabolises alcohol, and indeed just about everything else. Does such a small load create any more of a specific problem than say unconjugated bilirubin, amino acids, drugs or anything else entering the hepatocyte as part of its daily routine? Would it not only be in alcoholic liver disease that there is a danger and to what extent is this more of upsetting the normal balance of pychological self-control and what extent is it in fact a direct hepatotoxic effect?
