I found these links last spring, and I swear by adaware, and another free

program that comes in the google pack called spyware doctor. There are other

free versions of spyware doctor, but the one that comes in the google pack is

the best. My friend Tom is a programmer, and helped me soup up my first laptop

two years ago. The first thing we did was uninstall Norton and install Clamwin.

Thats because he said that Norton is good and all, but it so severely slows a

computer down, and blocks anything that might have the smallest spyware, that it

would be like visiting New York city in a combat tank, and never getting out of

the tank. You would be safe but at quite a price. Clamwin is here, and is used

to scan for viruses, and Adaware is already linked by , and I vouch that it

is pretty good.

all the stuff except the Norton is really cool thats in the google pack, but you

need to remember to only check the ones that you want to install. Google earth

and the google screen saver are cool too. Spyware doctor is my fave though. It

has a cool AAANNNKKK! sound when it finds the pesky spyware bugs.

Mac-out of context

Mac... was it you that told me you had a virus protection that

you did not have to buy but got off the internet. If it was,

could you tell me what it was again? I would really appreciate

it. We cannot afford those other ones...they surely are getting

crazy in price, now. The one seemed to run constantly and slowed

our computer down more and was constantly downloading things.
