Guest guest
Dear It is a problem coping with hay fever once it has started. The recent heat wave has made it much worse. I take the homoeopathic desensitising drops to grasses and pollens early every year (and others, e.g. cats, if necessary), also medicine based on Euphrasia. I thus keep what used to be a severe problem to a minimum, and was even able to spend a day in the garden in the heat (120+ in the greenhouse!) without too much of a problem. One useful tip which helps symptomatically is to inhale Mentha spicata E.O. regularly, from a tissue. This particular E.O. seems to help cool the inflamed mucous membranes. Once inflamed, everything aggravates it. Cottonwool soaked in witchhazel applied to nose & eyes may also help to cool. Best wishes, Cooke -cooke@...
