Corticosteroids and Weight Gain

After having a year of fairly mild asthma my medication for the

condition was increased this Winter to Becloforte 250 milligrams (six

shots per day) supplemented by an Reliever Salbutamol when necessary.

My doctor tells me that the corticosteroids can cause weight gain and

I have certainly seen that happen despite a fairly rigorous programme

of diet and exercise.

Can anyone point to any information that might be available on the web

which might tell me more about just how corticosteroids impact weight

retention?
