Guest guest
Gene, I see what you mean now about being a " Greek Chorus. " When he comes on and speaks, out comes some truth with a marvelous twist. This one today: is at the radio station and starting to play one of the records Soapy left to him. And he says: " The thing that Soapy loved about country music was its sense of myth. You know, heroes and villains, good and bad, right and wrong. The protagonist strolls into a bar which he sees as a microcosm of the big picture. He contemplates his existence and asks himself: 'Who's that babe in the red dress?' " It doesn't get any better than this!! This whole episode seemed loaded with seeing and Maggie with some of the mask removed. It was kind of like shadow boxing all through this one, wasn't it. I still keep hearing that line: " The protagonist strolls into a bar which he sees as a microcosm of the big picture. He contemplates his existence and asks himself " Who's that babe in the red dress? " I keep wanting to write it again and again...
