Guest guest
Hi Lorraine Just wondering if i can put my nose in here about the Benefibre. I was taking it for a couple of months after banding, but not noticing any progress in that department. Sometimes i was in a real pickle and had to resort to stronger methods. I spoke to my chemist who i speak outright with. She said that its not all that good for bandits, cos we cant get enuf fluids down for it to work and will actually do the opposite of what it should. It bulks up. She said to make it work effectively you should drink around 2-3 litres daily......pfft not happening here. My banding surgeon told me the same thing, so i dont know who the dipstick was that advised it in the 1st place. He now tells me to use Actilax and its brilliant. I have it in a glass of water each day and it works a treat. You can also take this long term, whereas you shouldnt with the Benefibre and alot of other things. Hope this helps some, and it is only my opinion/experience. Hugs Gail 132/69/65 7/2/05 - Perth
Guest guest
Gail, I also use Actilax in conjunction but only recently, Dr Talbott suggested I use it. I was not aware that you shouldn't use Benefibre long term. Why aren't we told these things when they tell us to specifically use it?
