Guest guest
Dear Dorothee, Just have a look to this page of the CNRS Glossary of Synonyms : http://dico.isc.cnrs.fr/dico/tr/chercher_en?r=pod You'll see that nacelle is given as a synonym of " pod " , which confirms that this is a backtranslation, with all its defaults, to begin with the wrong term chosen as a " coup de dictionnaire " :-)) I hope you understand what I mean. My proposition of translation lies on a mistranslation, which is the real problem here. That's very simple, but I'm not sure that I use the right terms to be understood. Re: Fr>En Term: Nacelle avec Matrigel Hello Dorothy, Usually " nacelle " would be " bucket " , as used in a centrifuge - but it seems a little strange to be filling it with Matrigel. Not impossible though, I guess. http://www.bestlabd <http://www.bestlabdeals.com/Hermele_Swing_Rotor_Buckets_with_Covers_p/> eals.com/Hermele_Swing_Rotor_Buckets_with_Covers_p/ 50606.htm cheers Sue > > Hello Dorothy, > > > > I do not know the English translation for nacelle, but at least I think that > « eppendorf » and « nacelle " is not the same thing. > > > > > http://www.laboandc <http://www.laboandco.com/prod-1368-11210685---Portoir-5-x-2-15-ml-> o.com/prod-1368-11210685---Portoir-5-x-2-15-ml- Eppendorf- > pour-nacelle-135-ml.html > > > > Sorry for not being of so much help. > > > > Dorothee > > > > De : medical_translation <mailto:medical_translation%40yahoogroups.com> > [mailto:medical_translation <mailto:medical_translation%40yahoogroups.com> ] De la part de dorotrad > Envoyé : samedi 5 janvier 2008 22:12 > À : medical_translation <mailto:medical_translation%40yahoogroups.com> > Objet : Fr>En Term: Nacelle avec Matrigel > > > > Hello everyone, > > Does anyone happen to know if the word " nacelle " as used in this > sentence is equivalent to an " eppendorf " , and if not, what?
