Guest guest
Dear All, I have a Px who is female, 24 and has a stubborn condition that will not clear... Px developed cystitis 6/99 and had ABS Tx from GP... the result was thrush, or so we thought... Px has not responded to treatment for thrush, has been good on avoiding sugar, alcohol, and other food suspects, she was not and has not been in a sexual relationship and has tested as clear at an STD / GU clinic. Px responds well to herbal medicine, hormonally and skin wise, so for us both, it is a frustration. Symptoms - labia majora are red and slightly irritated, becoming more red pre-period. There is no discharge or itch. When Px had sex with an ex-boyfriend 3 months ago, first intercourse was ok, during the second Px was uncomfortable - felt like " sticking " . Px recently developed a red raised lump on the labia, it appears to the patient to have a whitish head. Cause is unknown, Px has had several historically and is unconcerned though curious as to what they are. There is no irritation and, possibly a red herring, they seem to be soothed by live yoghurt application... I have suggested another check at the STD clinic, just in case... Ideas and suggestions please, is this obvious, am I missing something? Responses soon please, thank you, Benn Benn Abdy- MNIMH
