Guest guest
Robin,Montgomery glands may become infected. There is a photo of this condition in the Breastfeeding Atlas. Applying an antibiotics ointment (Bactroban –mupirocin) may help. If does not respond, treat it as another infection and refer to a physician for antibiotics by mouth. I have seen a case once where it became a superficial abscess, the size of the nipple beside it. It went away after applying heat and an antibiotics ointment. Good luck and keep us posted.
