Yes, we have had a few families that were able to access the state for helmet

therapy. I am not sure if they are still active on the board or not.

Definitely call your local office and start talking to people. If you need me

to help you find more information about it let me know. Glad you are here and

please be sure to tell us more about yourself.

Hmm, I don't have any experience with Medicaid. Did they pay for the first band?

If so, they should pay for the second one also. If not, how about contacting

your local Shriners? There are very interested in helping children. Maybe a

Lions club or something like that?

We'd love to hear more about your girl! Has she gotten good correction so far?

What kind of band is she wearing?

Medicaid didnt pay for the first one. They will not even give the

banding clinic a ID #. I have not tried the Shriners, but my

understanding is they will not pay for it unless you use there

hospital. My daughter has come a long way. I am very pleased with

what it has done. She is in a DOC band. I hope this will be the last

one. She only wore the first one for 2 months.

That's great she's doing so well, if she outgrew the first band so

fast, it's definitely working :). I hope too that the 2nd band will

give you all the correction you're hoping for.

Sorry to hear of the hassle medicaid is giving you for payment.

Might as well try Shriners, you have nothing to lose at this point.

Good luck.
