Guest guest
Hi, There were two studies in England, Bristol University, I think, linking childhood leukemia to Vitamin K injections, but not to the oral Vitamin K. Vitamin K prevents a rare condition that seems to be fatal if acquired. I got vitamin K injected, but regret it and wish I had gotten the oral. However, there are more effective oral doses than others, and this info can be found if you Google for a bit. i haven't done so in awhile, but did ascertain the info sometime after birth. I think that Australia and Germany all use oral vitamin K. Other studies did not link the injections to leukemia, but I'd still go with the oral were I to give birth again. Just my opinion. Do what you feel safest with. Just get all the facts first and trust your intuition. My best, Jill
Guest guest
Hi Everyone, On Vitimin K I only have experience with it on animals, but the medicine is quite similar to humans most of the time. I would think Vitimin K might mess with the coagulation of your blood. The reason I think this is because it is what we give to the dogs if they get eat rat poison. Rat poison, after a few weeks, will take away their blood clotting ability and they bleed to death internally if not treated. The Vitimin K counteracts the rat poison making it where the blood will still clot. I would wonder if Vit K, without the rat poison might eventually make your blood too thick or cause it to form blood clots ?
