Dear all

I am 36 yrs old married. My wife is 26 year old, and she is a chronic carrier of

Hepatitis B. We have 5 year old baby. She had exposed HBsAg positive on December

2006 at first time while we visited to the doctor for her heart problem.

After that, I and our daughter had also HBsAg tested and found negative. I

had vaccinated 3 shots in May-2001 and buster dose on 25st December-2006 after

my wife exposed as HBsAg positive.

We consulted to the doctor and he suggested that, it might be for three month

and after it may be change in to negative. During this period we visited to

another doctor and he prescribes some medicine with lamovir. She had three month

that medicine and re tested in May 14-2007, it again showed Positive than after

we visited Apolo hospital of Delhi. After the test doctor suggested not used

drug and re test the blood after the 6 month. She had tested her blood in

January 4th and found HBsAg again positive. But she is not feeling any kind of

physical problem

I have some query-

1. Is there any risk of get affected by hep B to me from my wife? If i have

sexual contact with her how much risks to affect to me? She is caring for me and

share bed as well as cloths and utensils of kitchen without wearing gloves, so

how much risk of affected to me as well as our daughter. plz confirm me......I

don't want to spread it to me as well as our other family members.

2. What are the steps I should take to avoid the risk of liver cirrhosis of her?

She is neither a smoker nor a drinker.

3. Please suggest me how to prevent her from other disease and is there is

medicines to cure her in this stage.

I am eagerly looking for your reply & advice...... ....

regards

RM

If you had your series of 3 hepatitis B vaccines, it's very unlikely that you

would get it.
