Guest guest
In Biomedicine: white spots on nails have been associated with: Zinc deficiency and/or fungal infections (maybe related to other dermatological complaints?) Vertical ridges have been linked to malabsorption of nutrients (or inadequate intake) Different meanings in TCM & Ayurveda let me know of you need more references Tamsin Tamsin Lazarus BSc(Hons), MCPP Medical Herbalist, London Telephone: 07808 727028 Reply-To: ukherbal-list To: ukherbal-list Subject: Re: RE: nails and ridges Date: Tue, 30 Nov 2004 13:22:05 +0200 christine brown wrote: > How about vertically ridged nails? Guest guest
Looked up HD Bach on nails: he says that white spots are caused by air entering the nailsubstance, in women due to cyclical hormonal imbalances. Vertical lines he has found to be associated with chronic GIT dysfunction. Horizontal lines he sees likrwise connected to GIT dysfct, also infections, toxicity, hyperuraemia. Tamsin, where did you get your info on vertical ridges from from? And has any of you experienced herbalists ever made those observations??
